| These water filter bottles can be cleaned when you feel it needs to be cleaned. It is not necessary to clean the bottles after every use. We recommend cleaning the bottles about twice a month. DO NOT USE SOAP ON OR NEAR THE FILTER OR FILTER HOUSING. You can remove the filter from the bottle and wash the bottle with soap and water. To clean the filter: You can drop the filter in a pot of boiling water for a few seconds to disinfect it if you wish, though it is not necessary. Harmful bacteria or other organisms cannot grow on the filter or in the filter.
